Situated just 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is growing and vibrant Cherokee County. Dubbed as the place “Where Metro Meets the Mountains,” Cherokee benefits from a region that’s both business savvy and environmentally alluring.

  • A strong healthcare community highlighted by Northside Hospital Cherokee. The 332-bed, full-service community hospital has more than 1,300 physicians and 3,600 employees.With an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline recognition, a nationally renowned Cancer Institute, and a distinct Women’s Center, they provide easy access to superior care. Their robotic surgery program ranks in the top one percent in the U.S. The 24/7 adult and pediatric emergency services, same-day total joint replacements for hip and knee, and sports medicine program make Northside Hospital Cherokee a leading health care resource.
  • Abundant shopping, dining, and entertainment can be found in Historic Downtown Canton. Highly rated local eateries offer something for every taste – from laid-back Southern favorites to fine dining – including Goin Coastal, Downtown Kitchen, Queenies, Local on North and C'est la Vie. The Canton Theatre provides live theatre from both local and traveling productions as well as musical performances, comedians and film screenings.   • Riverstone Plaza is conveniently located at the corner of Riverstone Parkway and Reinhardt College Parkway and houses Publix, Belk, Home Depot and AMC Classic Riverstone 15 movie theater.
  • Canton Market Place is an open air shopping center with a multitude of stores and eateries including Target, Lowe's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Olive Garden, Zaxby's, La Parrilla Mexican, as well as a Starbucks.
  • The Mill on Etowah, formerly a factory built in 1900 that produced denim until 1981, is one of the metro’s hottest adaptive re-use developments. It features Reformation Brewery – a brewery and taproom; a retail marketplace, restaurants, a co-working environment, and more. The 250,000-square-foot destination overlooks the Etowah River and offers a variety of activities on an events green with stage and visual screen with an environment of inclusiveness.

A 48,000 sq. ft. Cherokee County Aquatic Center provides year-round aqua-therapy programs, aquatic exercise classes, swimming classes, as well as competitive and recreational swimming opportunities.
