The focal point of Lake Arrowhead is certainly our beautiful 540-acre lake. Lake Arrowhead’s crystal clear waters boast depths over 80 feet. The lake is stream-fed and always remains at a constant level. Lake Arrowhead is ranked as one of the cleanest lakes in the state.
The Lake Arrowhead Marina and the Boathouse are operated by Kingdom Yachts Sailing Club, or KYSC. KYSC is a family-based organization that started teaching certified American Sailing Association (ASA) sailing lessons over 25 years ago on Lake Sydney Lanier. At Lake Arrowhead, they offer lessons (both on-shore and off), day camps, trips, boat rentals, and boat rides.
Located at the south end of the lake, the Marina and Boathouse offers boat slips on a reserved basis. There is also a boat launch ramp area for residents storing their boats elsewhere. A dry boat storage area is also available within Lake Arrowhead.
KYSC instructors are ASA certified. This means that they can take you through many different levels of sailing lessons and certification – from getting you comfortable in a small sailboat on this lake, to giving you the skills and credibility to charter a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands.
Sailing & Boating Lessons:
In addition to lessons, KYSC rents eco-friendly boats. See selections below:
We have SUP, single and tandem kayaks, & row boats.
Our pontoon boats are equipped with Bimini’s and swim ladders, some have live wells and fish finders. They are ideal for a family outing.

Our sailboats accommodate 2 sailors and are used as training vessels for our ASA courses.
KYSC hosts events where club members can socialize and build their skills. We connect sailors of all levels and interests. In addition to our local events, KYSC also plans community trips to the Caribbean.
For Lake Arrowhead Residents, KYSC Boat House offers Membership in the Pontoon Boating Club. Membership includes 12 hours for the Price of 8 Hours. You have a year to redeem your hours in two, three or four hour increments. Our club insurance requires "all new to us" skippers to answer a few nautical questions, to demonstrate their boat handling skills, and to review insurance paperwork. This one hour session has a one-time fee of $39 (lessons are available). From then on you simply reserve, sign, and go! See Rental Rates Chart for discounted prices.
